Albright, Charles Henry

Year: 1920

Charles Henry Albright was born on June 29, 1918, to Charles Albright and Irene McNeal Albright, both originally of Fayetteville, North Carolina. The family made their home at 538 Norfolk Avenue SW in Roanoke, Virginia.

His life was brief, ending on January 20, 1920, at just nineteen months old. He died of whooping cough, a disease that claimed the lives of many young children in the early twentieth century, before widespread vaccination made it largely preventable.

Though his time was short, Charles Henry Albright is remembered here as part of the family and community that once called this neighborhood home.
