Infant Kasey was born on September 14, 1913, the son of Amon (or Ammen) Kasey, a driver for Adams P&G, and Annie Flood Kasey, a laundress. The family lived at 515 Fairfax Avenue NW.
He died on April 14, 1914, in infancy. His short life reflects the fragility of early childhood in a time when many causes of infant death were not fully understood.
